A bug in Florida that looks like a cockroach could be the Palmetto bug, which is a type of American cockroach. Additionally, Florida woods cockroaches and water bugs are often mistaken for cockroaches due to their similar appearance. These bugs are large, brown, and can invade homes, but their habits and habitats may differ slightly from true cockroaches.
