What Temperature Kills Drywood Termites?

Drywood termites are killed at temperatures above 120°F (49°C) or below 20°F (-6°C) when sustained over a period of time. Heat treatments that raise the temperature of affected areas to lethal levels are commonly used to eliminate drywood termites in structures. Freezing methods can also be effective for small-scale infestations but are less practical for large areas.
