A house may need to be tented when pests, such as drywood termites, have infested large portions of the structure, including hard-to-reach areas like inside walls, attics, and foundations. Tenting creates an airtight seal that allows fumigants to permeate the entire house, killing pests in all life stages. It is also used for bed bugs or wood-boring beetles when the infestation is severe and spread across the property.
